All soaps are in generous amounts, good for at least a week's worth of baths or more. The black soap used as a base is made from palm oil, palm kernel oil, water, and ashes from palm and plantain leaves. Depending on the specific recipe, additional ashes are kneaded into this traditional base, creating a soap to be used for a specific banho, or bath.
If you have specific religious taboos to certain plants, oils, or animals (like palm kernel oil, guiné/ anamú, guinea hen, etc.) please let us know and we'll accomodate as best we can.
Some soaps may leave some color on the body. All come with raffia that can be used as a loofah to extend the life of the soap.
These soaps are made for use by those working Quimbanda, and while they can be used by anyone inside or outside that practice, know that we do use ritual to charge the soap with the axé of those Spirits and the Kingdoms.
